Our Services
-
A crown is an artificial replacement or covering for the upper part of a tooth, made to look, feel, and function like a natural tooth. Crowns are used for teeth that have experienced moderate to severe destruction, such as a large filling with recurrent decay or extensive wear. Crowns can also be used to restore a missing tooth where an implant has been placed.
-
Used to replace a missing tooth or teeth, a bridge is a dental restoration made of one or more false teeth that join permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. To place a bridge, one or more of your teeth will be prepared for a crown. Then, the false teeth will be connected to the bridge and joined to the crowns. Bridges are designed so that patients cannot remove them, and special care must be taken to keep them clean.
-
A dental veneer is a thin layer of restorative material, such as porcelain, permanently bonded to the front of the tooth surface in order to improve the aesthetics of a tooth, or protect a damaged tooth surface. Veneers can improve the alignment, color and shape of your teeth.
-
Complete dentures replace all teeth, and rest on the gums, covering the jawbones. They may be attached to dental implants for greater stability. Partial dentures also rest on the gums and cover jawbones of missing teeth, but only replace some teeth. They attach to those teeth that are still present. Annie C. Wilson Prosthodontics can work with your dentist to help decide whether dentures are the best solution, and if so, make recommendations as to the types of dentures needed.
-
A dental implant is a titanium structure surgically placed in the jawbone to replace the roots of missing teeth, and support crowns, bridges and dentures. Dental implants look, feel, and work like natural teeth.
-
With sleep apnea, patients experience a temporary pause in breathing while asleep, lasting from a few seconds to several minutes. Sleep apnea happens when the airway is blocked, and may cause snoring, restless sleep, or tiredness. Treatments for sleep apnea include the design of a special night guard to reposition the lower jaw and improve therapy, as well as a device that ensures positive airflow pressures through the use of a face mask.
-
Full mouth reconstruction or rehabilitation refers to complete rebuilding of all teeth in a patient’s mouth, to restore health, function, and optimum aesthetic appearance of a patient’s smile. Full mouth reconstruction may include multiple components such as crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, and orthodontics, if needed. The range of services required in full mouth reconstruction will vary based on the severity of the patient’s dental problems.

Annie C. Wilson Prosthodontics provides aesthetic composite fillings for front and back teeth. This procedure replaces lost tooth structure with dental composite fillings made of a mixture of glass and plastics sculpted to match your tooth’s original shape and color. In addition to repairing damage caused by dental decay, we can also use composites to build, reshape, or improve the color of your teeth.
